Introduction
On this page, we will inform you about the terms under which we enter into agreements with you and deliver the orders you have placed. Where these general terms and conditions mention ‘we/us/our,’ this refers to Scentique Amsterdam.
Please read these general terms and conditions carefully before ordering a product via the Scentique Amsterdam webshop. These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements, deliveries, orders, promotions, and sampling campaigns conducted by or on behalf of us. If you have any questions regarding these general terms and conditions, do not hesitate to contact Customer Happiness (info@scentique-amsterdam.com or by mail addressed to our office (Alexander Boersstraat 37 2, 1071 KW Amsterdam, Netherlands).

Article 1 - Definitions
- Interested Party: individuals who have signed up for the latest Scentique Amsterdam news, updates, offers, and sampling actions without having placed an order or subscribed to a membership.
- Scentique Amsterdam: Scentique Amsterdam, a company registered in the Netherlands with Chamber of Commerce number 95323422 and located at Alexander Boersstraat 37 2, 1071 KW, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
- Products: products offered through the Scentique Amsterdam webshop.
Article 2 - About us
- We sell perfumes on our websites in bottles developed by us, as well as full bottles of perfume and related products and accessories. The perfumes in the bottles are decanted by us. Therefore, we cannot be associated with the designer or manufacturer of the perfumes.
Article 3 - About you
- Our website is intended for use only by individuals residing in the service countries. We do not accept orders from individuals located outside these countries.
- By placing an order, you guarantee that you are authorized to enter into contracts, are at least 18 years old (or have obtained consent from your parents or guardians to enter into the agreement), and reside in one of the service countries.
Article 4 - Prices
- Prices for Products are based on the local currency of the respective Service Country and include VAT. Shipping is free unless otherwise stated in your order summary.
- We reserve the right to change product prices and delivery costs at any time. Changes do not affect orders for which you have already received an order confirmation.
Article 5 - Retour
- After receiving a product from the Scentique Amsterdam webshop, you have fourteen (14) days to reconsider your purchase. If you wish to return your order, you must contact Customer Happiness. The product must be in its original condition, unopened, undamaged, and, if applicable, sealed. Once you have received confirmation of your return request from us, you must return the product within fourteen (14) days to:

1071 KW Amsterdam - Contrary to Article 5.1, there is no reconsideration period for personalized products. These products cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
The costs of returning the product are your responsibility. We recommend keeping a shipping receipt so that you can prove that you sent your order back to us.
Once we have received the returned product in good order, we will refund the full purchase amount to your account within fourteen (14) days, provided that the return conditions outlined in Article 5.1 have been met.
Article 6 - Payment
- Unless otherwise agreed, the amounts owed by the consumer must be paid within seven (7) working days after the start of the reflection period as referred to in Article 6, paragraph 1. In the case of an agreement for the provision of a service, this period begins after the consumer has received confirmation of the agreement.
- The consumer is obliged to immediately report any inaccuracies in the provided or stated payment details to the entrepreneur.
- In the event of non-payment by the consumer, the entrepreneur has the right, subject to legal limitations, to charge the consumer reasonable costs that were communicated in advance.
Article 7 - Promotions, Offers, Discout Codes
- Promotions and offers are valid for the specified duration and while supplies last. Additional promotional terms may be established for each promotion or offer.
- Discount codes can only be used in accordance with the applicable terms of the discount code.
- You can use a maximum of one discount code per order. Combining discount codes and promotions is not possible.
Article 8 - Delivery
- Delivery will occur while supplies last. If delivery is not possible, we will contact you with a proposed solution, such as an alternative product.
- Address: We will deliver your order to the address you provided at the time of ordering. For orders from our shop, once your order has been shipped, you can no longer change the address.
- Scentique Amsterdam webshop Product Delivery: If you place an order on a weekday before 1:00 PM, we will ship your order to you the same day, unless otherwise stated on the product page. If you order on a weekday after 1:00 PM or over the weekend, we aim to ship your order on the next working day. The delivery time starts once you have fully completed the ordering process and received confirmation from us. We will do our best to deliver your order within three (3) working days. For the United Kingdom, the delivery time may be longer, and you should expect between three (3) and seven (7) working days.
- The delivery times provided by us are indicative and do not entitle you to cancel the agreement or claim compensation in case of delays. We are not liable for any delays by postal carriers. If we are aware of internal delays, we will notify you in writing.
- If the specified delivery time has been exceeded, please contact Customer Happiness as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days after the shipping confirmation, so we can determine what went wrong and offer a solution.
- Delivery times may be longer around holidays.
Article 9 - Reviews
- If you purchase a product from the Scentique Amsterdam webshop, we may ask you to write a review about your experience. We will ask you to choose a nickname, which may be published alongside your review.
- Your review should be accurate, sincere, and truthful, highlighting both the pros and cons of the product (or its effectiveness). Scentique Amsterdam and our brand partners value your honest opinion to improve their products. Please consider the following conditions when writing your review:
- It contains understandable and correct punctuation, capitalization, etc.
- It is written in Dutch or English.
- It is not intentionally offensive and does not contain any offensive, obscene, insulting, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise misleading information.
- It does not include personal information such as email addresses or phone numbers.
- It does not contain advertising or information about prices or sales locations.
- It does not include questions or comments (for this, you can contact Customer Happiness).
- The review should be a personally written, original piece that you have not copied from someone else.
3. Please note that spelling and/or grammatical errors may not always be corrected before your review is published, although we and our brand partners reserve the right to make corrections.
4. Our brand partners also have the right to make limited technical changes to correct any incorrect, misleading, or offensive information. The underlying opinion of your review will not be changed.
5. You may only submit one (1) review per product. You may only submit a review for products that you have received. We collect your email and IP-address when you submit a review to verify the authenticity of your review and protect against fake reviews, along with third parties.
6. You give us permission to share your review and the information you provided. This information will be shared with our brand partners and third parties who assist us in collecting, verifying, and sharing your review.
7. You grant us, brand partners, and other applicable third parties permission to publish your review.
8. There may be circumstances where we or our brand partners do not publish your review. Neither we nor our brand partners are obligated to publish a submitted review.
Article 10 - Samples
- Scentique Amsterdam also conducts sampling campaigns. This means that you can claim free perfume and beauty samples or receive a free sample with your order. After receiving a sample, you may be asked to complete a survey and/or write a review.
- If you receive a sample of a beauty product or perfume, you cannot derive any other rights from it other than it being an indication of the nature of the product.
Article 11 - Obligations & Liability
- You may only use the products for their intended purpose. All instructions on the packaging and in the inserts must be followed. We accept no liability for misuse.
- All our obligations are best-effort obligations. All stated deadlines are indicative.
- We are only liable for damages you incur to the extent that such damages are caused by intentional misconduct or willful recklessness on our part. Any liability on our part expires entirely 12 months after the date the damage occurred.
- If it is determined that we are liable for any damages, we are only liable for direct damages that arise from or are related to the performance of an agreement. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of profit, missed income, damage to goodwill or reputation, etc., is excluded. Our liability is also limited to a maximum of the purchase amount of the relevant Product.
Article 12 - Complaints
- Upon receipt, you should check the delivered product as soon as possible for any deficiencies, such as a leaking bottle, a defective travel case or spray, an incorrectly received perfume, or a missing product.
- For a product with a deficiency, you must file a complaint with Customer Happiness as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days after receipt, including photo or video evidence as proof.
- For missing products, you must file a complaint with Customer Happiness as soon as possible, but no later than thirty (30) days after receipt of your order.
We will attempt to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible. If we anticipate that we will not be able to address your complaint within a week, you will receive a confirmation of the complaint from us and be informed of when we expect to provide a substantive response. - Once the complaint period has expired, we will no longer address your complaint.
Article 13 - Intellectual Property
- Texts, photos, websites, Scentique Amsterdam webshop, mailings, and other materials developed or managed by us are protected by copyright, trademark, design rights, or other intellectual property rights.
- Your use must not in any way reproduce, modify, copy, distribute, or use the materials for commercial purposes. For personal use, you must adhere to all our intellectual property rights.
- We have the right to quote and share images and texts that customers and interested parties post on a website, blog, or social media where our subscriptions and products are visible on our websites and social media.
Article 14 - Changes and Disputes
- If, after concluding the agreement, it becomes apparent that changes or additions to the content of the agreement are necessary for its execution, such as if the chosen perfume is out of stock, we will adjust the agreement accordingly, in a timely manner and in consultation with you.
- We reserve the right to modify these general terms and conditions.
If any provision is found to be void or unenforceable, it will be replaced by a provision that closely reflects the intention we had when drafting these terms. In such cases, the remaining provisions of these terms will remain unaffected. - Dutch law exclusively applies to every agreement.
- In the event of a dispute, the court in Amsterdam shall have jurisdiction.
